About

I was born in northern Pennsylvania in the Pocono Mountains.  Throughout my life, I have progressively moved to Baltimore, Annapolis, Tampa, and back to Annapolis.

I am an age-group triathlete and amateur endurance athlete in my spare time.   Professionally, I am an epidemiologist, specifically an infectious disease epidemiologist.   I am board certified in Infection Prevention and Control through the Certification Board for Infection Control (CBIC).  Needless to say, I spend a lot of time on very tiny "scary" things.  I have over 15 years experience in emergency medical services ranging from fire service to mountain rescue with the National Ski Patrol.  As you might tell, I also love to ski and am a fan of all things Disney.

Throughout high school, I competed in the 400m and the pole vault.  I also competed in baseball at the varsity level.  In 2010, I ran my first official endurance race, a local 5k.  Later that year, I ran the relay portion of the runDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon.  Now two 140.6 finishes later, I continue to plod along.
